one of the guys that was at my house that night asked for an all night prayer meeting and we had one last month.

One thing that we did was map out all the apostolic churches in the KC area and pray for unity, stirring, etc.   The next week I was at early morning prayer (Saturdays) and I was praying for my cousin and his church (PAW).  I went on to pray for something else but felt like I needed keep praying for him/his church.  I felt a heavy burden to pray for holiness.  Now I don't mean standards, I mean a real Spirit of holiness.  I felt it pretty strong.

Well, I don't usually tell people what I prayed about but it was so odd to me cause I'm not a hardliner strict person, that I called him and told him.  Plus he is a kind person and would forgive me if I was off...lol He said it was interesting b/c a random person at work said the same thing to him.  A person who is not apostolic but was praying for him.

He calls me the next night and tells me they had an extra service and one of the older ladies in the church preached.  She said God gave her a dream and told her to preach about holiness!  She got to the nitty gritty though and was specifying things their church needs to work on.  My cousin said that it was very anointed and the church/pastor/himself recieved it and there were people getting baptized.  !!

God is still working even when it doesn't "look" like it.  I love it when things like that happen.  It's not me, it's just that by his grace and mercy I sought Him enough to catch a glimpse or hear a sound of what HE was already doing, and it's only for His glory.  That all night prayer mtg. was awesome.  There were prayer warriors, elders, there that led us and taught us by prayer how to pray more effectively.

Turn Your Security System ON!
==============================

A horrible thing happened to me today...

A thief broke into my house. It happened shortly after I awoke
this morning. I got up and began rushing about. I had a
thousand things on my list and was already running behind.

Quickly, I gulped down breakfast, took a shower and got ready
for work.

In my rush, I forgot to turn the security system on at my
house. It was just about a half an hour later that the thief
broke in. Of course, he didn't make a sound. Just kind of snuck
inside, not drawing any attention to himself. In fact, none of
the neighbors ever saw him.

But, I did.

You see, I WAS HOME when the thief broke in.

He naturally startled me, as I was unprepared for his visit.
He, of course, didn't announce that he was coming and I
certainly had not invited him over.

And yet, I found myself face to face with danger and I felt so
powerless. I also felt so very stupid, because this whole
incident could have been avoided if I had just taken the time
to turn the security system on.

You better believe I'll be turning it on tomorrow morning! I
thought I'd warn you about this guy, because he's still on the
loose. Chances are, he's in your area. Possibly even headed for
your house.

His name? His name is Satan. You see, this morning when I
jumped up in my haste to get started on my busy day, I skipped
my prayer time - opting to "pray later today." In other words,
I DIDN'T TURN ON THE SECURITY SYSTEM. My defense wasn't on, my
guard was dropped... and when the thief came into my home to
attack me,

I was unprepared to do battle.

He tempted me and I felt powerless. Like I said, I also felt so
very stupid, because I could have avoided the incident if I had
just taken the time to pray.

My friend, the thief has come to "steal, kill and destroy."
And, as a Child of God, you are on his "hit list." He'll
probably pop over to your house today. He may be lurking
outside your door right now, just waiting to catch you off
guard.

Take time to pray this morning. Ask God to bind Satan from your
very presence, to protect you and empower you to do battle. In
short... don't forget to turn your security system on.

Had someone get the Holy Ghost yesterday at the World Missions Conference!

I also had something interesting happen.  I was doing some running about with some gals from church, looking for ethnic wear for the conference on Saturday.  There is one little Moroccan/African store that has nice things so we went there twice that day.  I know a couple of things in Arabic so I greet them when I come in.  Usually the woman is very quiet and uninterested.  This time she was warm and her husband was there and he was friendly also.

I bought a shirt for Nathan and chit chatted while I was checking out.  When we left and got into the car, as we were pulling away my heart/spirit just... I don't know the word but I wanted to just cry and pray.  Nothing negative really at all, my heart was just moved.  The rest of the weekend I was stirred up, I still kind of am.  Last year's conference, Bro.Howell preached it and came up to Nathan and I during the sermon and randomly prayed for the Middle East and muslims while laying hands on us.  I figure(d) it was just cause we dressed Moroccan.

Anyway, it's not a normal testimony with hoop and hollaring and deliverance, but a burden is really a blessing and if Jesus is laying a compassion on our heart for any people, let alone a specific kind, I am humbled and eager.  It's like a promise of great things to come!

* iridiscente is really encouraged after reading MellowYellow's recent thoughts.

I've been feeling these sort of things lately, too. Blanca and I have been having Bible studies since Ben has been traveling and we are out of the normal routine. We are encouraging each other to dig deeper and reinforce knowledge/gain new knowledge of God.

That's awesome!

I have not been "in service" for 3 wks.  It was so nice to be in church today!  I had went to see my grandma 1 sunday, was here the next but had nursery duty, then I was gone to my grandma's funeral last wk.  Walking into a place where people are hungry for God and have the Holy Ghost is a precious thing not to be taken for granted.  God does sustain us.

Last weekend there was a Spanish Conference at our church.  I wasn't able to be there but I cooked up a ton of food before hand for it.  It doesn't seem like I did much at all but 10 people got the H.G! and though I wasn't there to contribute spiritually @ the moment, it is a blessing to know that I did what I could when I could and a part of me was there.

We can't be @ everything, or do everything, but we can always pray, contribute what we have and rejoice when we hear the testimonies.  We ARE a part of this kingdom of God, and every victory is everyone's victory.

Tonight i was talking to a preacher Friend on Facebook and we where talking about the first time we meant and from that time on what has changed.
Some was as simple as age and that time has changed us, then we got to talking about ministry and what we both felt God was telling the other for the other.
God uses us in some of the most interesting ways and it is never expected, you know the simple conversations that we have and then it turns into God has been telling me this about you or I have been feeling this and need to tell you. Thank you God for that conversation!

There are a few things that i really need God to help he figure out, one is about church in STL , another is what I will be doing this summer if I will stay in STL and if I can go on the missions trip to India and I really feel is a God thing but have no real idea how that will come about. and there is also an unspoken request that I really just need some peace about because I have been struggling with it for some great length of time now.

I am not sure why I am posting this but I am in hopes that maybe one other person will help me pray and then I will finally get my answers I need.

 Thanks yall

I thank God for the wonderful service we had last night! - His prescence was strong there last night, it was that quiet stillness where your nearly overwelmed and Humbled.. and the preaching was so deep, strict, hard to swallow.. but well needed and deserved! - the alter service was rich, people crying out to God, reaching the throne room for what they need! --- it was amazing, and it wasnt even a big shout-down.
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

You guys!  Church has been amazing, week after week.  It has always been great, we are so blessed that God called us here.  But it just keeps getting better.  I wanted to share that God has been on a healing streak lately...lol  I want it to be the norm, GOD wants it to be the norm.  I'm just so thankful.

Nathan still hasn't found a steady job, he is still doing remodeling jobs here and there.  Nothing is lining up for me to get a job either.  So we go on, but let me tell you, Nathan is working with some guys right now that are hungry for Jesus and he's planting/watering all he can.  Our cell group's passion is growing along with our relationships.  Jesus is allowing me to become more broken yet with more joy than ever.

So far, our church has had 7 baptisms and 3 get the Holy Ghost this year.  Maybe not much it seems but, 1 (a teen girl) got the Holy Ghost praying in her room after a teen boy kept giving her scriptures about stuff.  She would just read that whole book each time and God gave her revelation.  Another guy got it in a prayer mtg. some young men were having in their apartment.

Maybe the thought occurs to you, "but they didn't get it at church" but THAT is what is so exciting... the church is being the CHURCH.  There are little pockets here and there of folks reaching out, making efforts.  We had a relief effort a week or so ago,  a group has been doing prayer walks around schools, with other denominational churches.  There were 7 visitors at a mens' prayer breakfast yesterday.

Bro.& Sis.Haney were here 2 wks ago and they kept emphasizing all the work that went into the success of what God has done.  They talked about the energy that comes with being busy about God's business and they are right!

If I ever figure out how to chop up a DVD into segments so I can post one online, I will.  God Bless!

Well, I just had to share.  Why I'm still amazed I don't know, but God still amazes me.

Guys, pray for me.......I think I've become a monster - I kinda went bipolar on some people last night, all because I let a discussion about a particular recent movie get out of hand....
