Hey all - just checking in...

Today's my due date but baby hasn't shown up yet. Still waiting. The news is still the same, still some kind of dwarfism, although the baby's expected to be otherwise healthy - but she may have a bit more difficulty breathing at first... praying that she can breath fine!!

In addition to the problems with the pregnancy, Bernard (my husband) has just come down with shingles as well - the timing is awful!!

Please keep praying for the safe arrival of the baby - it should be within the next week or so now, they won't let me go more than about a week over... and pray that she can breath normally at birth... and please also pray that Bernard gets better quickly and that he isn't restricted from being with me for the birth, or from being with the baby when she's born...

Thanks all :)

Posted on Facebook:  Dear all, our little girl was born at 4:53pm today (4 Aug). She's a healthy weight and looks just like Lana! The only thing now is that she's in NICU for observation - she's been having a bit of laboured breathing and on CPAP, so please keep praying for her. Nic is doing fine and has tasked me with updating her FB profile while she's stuck without connection to the Cloud...! --Bern

Update posted on Facebook: Maddy's still having a hard time breathing, the doctors think we might have a bit of a journey ahead of us. Request: please pray for Maddy to breathe strongly and independently, that it'll stabilize very quickly and astound the doctors. Thanks all.

Hey all, thanks for all your prayers.

Maddy is now 10 days old and she is still in NICU. She's fairly stable but they are wanting to run a few more tests on her and the doctors are being a bit difficult about it - no one wants to go first and they're all refusing to do what needs to be done until they know the results of someone else's tests... it's pretty frustrating at the moment, but it's good to know that she's healthy... I wish she could be home with us though... I haven't even been allowed to hold her yet...
